How To Use The MandiTrac
Pay attention to the following steps when using the MandiTrac device:
- Use a very light biting force on the device while you are going through the exercises. If the cushions are rolling, you are either biting too hard or they need to be replaced. You do not want to put too much force on the muscles and start to build them. The key is to relax and stretch the muscles.
- Utilize good body posture during all 3 exercises
- Always hold the handle while completing the exercises
Each exercise should consist of 3 repetitions of 10 movements.
First Exercise
Masseter: Start with good body posture. Place the MandiTrac cushions on the last molars (pull the cushions slightly forward if you are biting on the arm), hold the handle, gently bite down.
Second Exercise
Pterygoid: Place the MandiTrac cushions between the pre-molar teeth, hold the handle, and with light pressure, gently slide your lower jaw forward and back to its natural position.
Third Exercise
Genioglossus: With the cushions in the same position as exercise 2, lift your chin 45 degrees towards the ceiling (you should feel the stretch just under your chin prior to starting the exercise movement), gently slide your lower jaw forward and back to its natural position.
It is normal to feel muscle fatigue as you progress through the exercises. You may also develop a slight, pain free click in your jaw after a few uses. This should not present with any pain and should subside with continued use of the MandiTrac.
Be sure to clean your device after every use. Wash it with mild antibacterial soap, rinse it with clean water and allow it to dry.
What MandiTrac Patients Have Said
“I had a dental sleep device made for me by a new sleep dentist and unfortunately, it made my bite shift to the left and was open in the back. My bite returned to normal after using the MandiTrac for 1 month. My face has never felt better and my double chin has disappeared.”

“Being a middle school teacher, I put a lot of stress on my jaw and teeth from clenching in my sleep. I noticed my muscles relax after my first use of the MandiTrac. I have been using it for 6 months now and I am no longer clenching at night, my jaw is no longer locking and I am sleeping much better.”
Serene K.
“My wife used to sleep in a different room because of my snoring. I started using the MandiTrac due to my TMJ pain, and it actually stopped my snoring as well as my facial pain. Now my wife and I sleep in the same room again.”
