Similar to the Norris Metal brackets, the Norris Clear Brackets have an unfailing door with reciprocal mechanism and audible opening and closing “click”, proven to last throughout treatment. The unique mechanism inside the door of the bracket allows the door to actually “glide open” and “glide closed” once the door travels 50% in either direction.
The unique spring clip inside the door of the bracket allows the door to actually spring open and spring closed once the door passes 50% of its travel in either direction. This spring clip assisted opening and closing is the first of its kind, and is a HUGE step forward in PSL technology.

A slimmer, singled-ended Clear Bracket Opening Tool (#220-5005) works seamlessly to open Norris Clear SL doors. The current standard openers. are slightly too thick and should not be used. Please avoid using a scaler or pulling to open the door.

Norris Clear Bracket Final Debonding
Similar to the Norris Metal brackets, the Norris Clear Brackets have a notably high bond strength. Please use the Debonding Plier (#216-5025) for debonding. Please remember to close all of the bracket doors before debonding. Ensure all flash is properly removed. Repositions can be performed just like the metal brackets. We recommend that any repositioning is done while the patient is still in NiTi wire for best results.

The maximum recommended stainless steelwire is .017 x .025
Ensure the .018 x .018 NiTi wire has resolved all rotations before transitioning to .019 x .025 NiTi
Beta wire should only be used after one month of .019 x .025 NiTi wear

Can I use the same size wires, ligation protocol, and accessories?
Yes. Use your existing Norris wire sequences and accessories; Norris Clear integrates into the same clinical protocol. However, it’s important to let Niti wires work longer. The largest SS wire size is 17×25.

Norris Clear provides a fully clear, fixed-appliance option with excellent esthetics and can often achieve difficult movements faster or more predictably than aligners, especially in complex cases.
